This policy explains how we process personal data when you visit our website, contact us or make a reservation, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Slovenian data protection law.

What data we process and why

  • Enquiries by e-mail or phone: your name, contact details and the content of your message, to answer you (legal basis: steps prior to a contract or our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).
  • Reservations: when you book through the booking form on our website, the data you enter (name, contact details, dates of stay, number of guests, payment and guarantee details) is processed to make and manage your reservation (legal basis: performance of a contract). The booking form is provided by our booking system provider Bentral, which processes this data on our behalf.
  • Your stay: we process the guest data we are required to collect by law, such as identity document details for guest registration (legal basis: legal obligation).
  • Website analytics: only if you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website. It collects information such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type (legal basis: your consent). If you decline, Google Analytics runs without analytics cookies.

We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for automated decision-making.

Cookies and local storage

  • Consent choice: we store your cookie choice (accepted or declined) in your browser’s local storage so we do not ask again on every page. It is not a cookie and is not sent to us.
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, for example _ga): set only after you accept. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
  • Third-party content: the booking form (Bentral) and the embedded map (Google Maps) may set their own cookies when they load. The video on our home page is loaded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode only when you click play.

Third-party services

When you visit the website, some content is loaded directly from other providers, which receive your IP address in the process:

  • Google (Google Ireland Ltd.): Google Analytics (with consent), Google Maps, YouTube and Google Sheets (our price list).
  • Bentral: online booking system on the reservation page.

Where these providers transfer data outside the EU/EEA, they do so on the basis of the EU Commission’s adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected: enquiries for as long as needed to handle them, reservation and stay data for the periods required by tax, accounting and guest registration rules, and analytics data for the limited retention period set in our Google Analytics configuration.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
